Ahmed and Aisha Met Again

It had been two years since Ahmed had last seen Aisha, the girl he had once been so enamored with. They had parted ways on good terms, but Ahmed had made the decision to cut off all contact with her in order to avoid falling into the trap of haram love. He had been successful in avoiding her, but that didn't mean that he didn't think about her from time to time.

One day, while walking through the park, Ahmed saw her. She was sitting on a bench, reading a book. Ahmed's heart skipped a beat when he saw her, but he quickly reminded himself of his commitment to Allah and turned to walk away. But as he walked, he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to talk to her, just for a moment.

Ahmed hesitated for a moment, but then he remembered the importance of following Allah's commands. He knew that talking to Aisha without a mehram present was not permissible, and he couldn't risk compromising his faith. With a heavy heart, Ahmed continued walking, his thoughts consumed by the girl he had once loved.

As he walked away, Ahmed realized that he had never truly moved on from Aisha. He had simply buried his feelings deep within himself in order to avoid falling into the trap of haram love. He knew that he had to find a way to move on from her, once and for all.

In the days that followed, Ahmed found himself thinking about Aisha more and more. He couldn't seem to escape her memory, and he found himself wishing that he could talk to her, just one more time. But he knew that he couldn't risk compromising his faith for the sake of his desires.

He dragged the phone out of his pocket, messaged her and then after a minute or two, he dialled her number, while his heart pounding as if it would blast within his chest.

He spoke to her about something that she was not ready to hear. She immediately ended the call and then Ahmed realised what he wanted to say couldn't be said on call and he had to find a way to meet herher but had not the courage to do so.

Finally, after weeks of struggling with his feelings, Ahmed made the difficult decision to confront Aisha while she's a mehram alongside. He knew that he needed to find closure in order to move on to proposing her for a permission relationship.

One day he walked to the park hoping to see her there and while he was just entering the park gate, his eyes landed on the person he was looking for. His heart skipped a beat and after arranging his thoughts about what to say, his feet began to approach Aisha tentatively, his heart pounding in his chest.

When she saw him, she seemed frozen and motionless.

Ahmed felt his resolve weakening. But he had to speak up because there was no other way.

"Assalamu alaykum, Aisha," he said, his voice steady.

"Wa alaykum assalam, Ahmed," she replied modestly with tears welling up in her pearl-like eyes.

Ahmed hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. But then he spoke from his heart, his words honest and true.

"Aisha, I wanted to talk to you when I saw you at this same spot last time, but I couldn't talk as no mehram of yours was around, then I hesitatingly called you and messed up. Now as Mariam is here, allow me to have a word with you."

"Yes", she firmly said.

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the way things ended between us. I also know that I never truly moved on from you. I just wanted to find closure, so we can move towards something permissible."

Aisha looked at Ahmed with a mixture of surprise and understanding. She knew that he was right, and she appreciated his honesty but was totally in shock about the "moving towards permissible" part.

"Thank you for saying that, Ahmed," she said softly. "I also know that what we had was not permissible, and I'm glad that you made the right decision. I hope that we can both move on from this and find the love that Allah has intended for us."

Ahmed nodded, didn't know how to say what he intended to say, with his heavy heart. He knew that he had made the right decision in confronting Aisha, and he was grateful for the closure that he had found.

The moment he left from there, Aisha crumbled in pain on the bench, holding Mariam's hand tightly. "Why, whyyyyyyyyy??", she cried.
